I'm sorry you don't get it Y, and I'm sorry you prefer fantasies over reality. When you claim Hillary didn't lie about who she is, you willingly forget her "sniper fire" LIE. Not unlike how you willingly dismiss the overwhelming evidence and almost daily reminders from Sarah Palin that Sarah Palin should not be anywhere near the vice Presidents office. I mean, they do stricter scrutiny on McDonald's applicants that the McCain camp did in selecting Sarah Palin.

Obama is a rare talent. I'm sorry you FAIL to recognize that as clearly the hundreds of thousands of people attending his rallies do.

I don't, to this day, know what the big deal is. Anybody paying any attention to this race has had the thought in the forefornt of the minds. Hilary had the guts to say it out loud. At least she isn't hiding anything or LYING about who she is or what she believes. And though I would normally support the Democrats due to the fact that the previous DEM office did wonderful things for the people of the US (which Bush took away), I would really hope that McCain wins regardliess of his age or his running mate (whom everyone seems to think makes an ideal target for outrageous, over-the-top & out-of-line jokes & comments)

Excellent post! Hillary has a selective memory and thinks she should get immunity for every insensitive remark she makes; history shows that she doesn't expect to be accountable for her or her husband's actions. The great part of this campaign is that we get to hear Ms. C's "unscripted" comments so often. Yes she should know better, but she is a fool! She is a study in contrasts: a productive and corrupt politician. I hate to sound cynical, but I don't think she'd be so forthcoming with any regrets about a republican official. She's never held back the blame in that arena.

Honestly, who is to say that what she said WOULDN'T happen?

Now, I am all for speaking your mind. But I think that as a politician, you have to be more cautious in how you approach certain subjects. She put this very bluntly, and that's what the problem with this whole thing is. Honestly, who hasn't thought that?

I know I have.

America is a country built on racism and race issues. There are many unhappy people because of Obama's race (no pun intended) for the Presidential nomination.

IMHO, there are many people who don't wish to have a minority in the highest office in the republic, and there might very well be an attempt on his life.

Why give him all the SS agents he has now if that thought hasn't been addressed? He has way more than Hillary, and she is entitled to have them (as a former First Lady).

Ponderous, isn't it?

Excellent work!!! Hillary is a consummate politician and knows exactly what she was saying and implying. HIllary told the truth by accident!

@halfmd: counter question - how many (older...white...) women are voting for HRC because she's a woman? or doesn't that count?!?!?!

and - when the black democrats were lock-stepping behind white candidates 100% no one seemed to mind (BILL clinton, anyone?). at the beginning of this primary, HRC also had a very strong lead amongst black voters. it wasn't until the clinton campaign began to pull their version of the race card from the bottom of the deck (unfortunately aided and abetted by the likes of well-known figures in the black community like Robert Johnson and Andrew Young) did more and more blacks begin to seriously rethink their allegiance to the clinton campaign machine.

rightly so, imho!

The only problem I had was with the Wikipedia reference at the end, being in second place. Kennedy went into California behind, but came through ahead before he was assassinated. I believe this is suppose to reflect her idea of coming out ahead in the end, though the numbers don't seem to be in her favor now. This seemed to directly contradict the idea of planting assassination seeds.

You made several great points against her. I still think this was just an idiotic slip up on her part. She has shown to ignore the race card to favor her stance on sexism. She wants this more than anything and I can't help but compare her denial and will power combo to something very similar to the denial/will power that helped FDR become president. Though, she lacks something and that's the ability to communicate in a meaningful way, which makes her come off to me as purely power hungry. Not someone looking out for our best interest.
